Pakistan Carbon Reserve incorporated; feasibility study is next
The company is now a registered Pakistani private company. Here is what that means and what happens between now and the first planting season.
Pakistan Carbon Reserve (Private) Limited was incorporated on 3 September 2026 under the Companies Act, 2017, by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. The company's corporate unique identification number is 0354079, and the registration can be checked on the SECP register (opens in new tab).
The company's stated principal line of business is forestry: to grow, cultivate, and develop forestry projects and the technology and know-how around them. In practice that means one thing first: a 50-hectare native-species afforestation pilot on degraded land in Punjab, designed from the outset for validation under Verra's Verified Carbon Standard.
What happens next
- Feasibility study. Commissioned in the final quarter of 2026, covering site options, species, water, baseline carbon stock, and costs.
- Land scouting. Site visits in the Chakwal and Rajanpur districts, with tenure due diligence on shortlisted parcels.
- Advisory board. Appointments in forestry science, measurement and verification, climate finance, and land and legal matters.
- Planting. Targeted for the second quarter of 2027, subject to the feasibility study and a secured site.
What we are not announcing
