Removal credits with a chain of evidence you can hand to your auditors
This page is for corporate sustainability and procurement teams who have been burned by low-quality credits and now buy on evidence. It sets out what we will provide, when, and what we will not claim.
What you get
Removal, not avoidance. Afforestation credits represent carbon physically removed from the atmosphere and stored in biomass, the category most corporate net-zero frameworks now require for residual emissions.
Additionality assessed per project. Each site's baseline is documented and audited. We do not argue additionality from national statistics.
Permanence protected. A share of every issuance goes to the VCS buffer pool, tenure is secured for the full crediting period before planting, and sites are managed for fire, grazing, and drought.
Full monitoring transparency. Permanent plot data, satellite monitoring, and verification reports are available to buyers on request, so your auditors see what the verifier saw.
Early access. Pilot volumes are small. Buyers who engage now can contract forward for pilot and expansion volumes before the project is widely marketed.
How offtake will work
Once the pilot is validated, we will offer forward purchase agreements for a defined volume from defined vintages, at a price fixed or indexed in the agreement, with delivery on issuance. Payment terms will typically combine a deposit at signing with the balance on delivery. Buyers can choose to retire credits on issuance in their own name or hold them.
We will not sell credits before validation, and we will not sell a volume we cannot show the modelling for.
What you receive for due diligence
- Project Design Document once submitted, and the validation report once issued
- Land tenure documentation for the project site
- Baseline study and the carbon stock model with its assumptions
- Monitoring reports, permanent plot data, and satellite time series
- Community benefit plan and stakeholder consultation record
- Registry listing and, after each verification, issuance and serial number records
- Company registration: SECP certificate, CUIN 0354079
Pricing approach
Our planning assumption is $15–25 per credit, stated on the methodology page with its caveats. Forward pricing will reflect vintage, volume, and the point in the project's life at which a buyer commits. Earlier commitment carries a lower price and more risk; later commitment carries less of both.
Buyer questions
What can our company claim once we retire these credits?
That it has retired verified VCS removal credits from a named, registry-listed afforestation project in Pakistan to compensate a measured quantity of residual emissions. We will provide the retirement record with serial numbers. We do not overstate permanence or additionality, and credits complement, rather than replace, your own reductions.
Are these credits eligible under CORSIA, SBTi, or ICVCM labelling?
The project is designed to the ICVCM Core Carbon Principles, and Verra's ARR methodology is on the pathway for the CCP label. Eligibility for any specific scheme is confirmed at validation, not before. SBTi counts reductions only, so removal credits sit under beyond-value-chain mitigation.
Can we visit the site?
Yes, once a site is secured. Site visits for prospective buyers and funders are part of how we intend to be checked.
What happens if the forest is damaged?
The VCS buffer pool covers reversals at the standard level. At the project level, monitoring detects damage early and replanting obligations are written into the operating plan.
